BARNETT, John Hamilton, son of William, died 08th inst, aged 9m and 28 d

BANICLE, Michael, of Susquehanna Twp. aged 33, died 14th inst at Cincinnati
of cholera after a few weeks of absence from his home. Leaves a wife and four
small children (Thursday, 30 May 1833)
BATMAN, Wesley and Jane THOMAS, both of near this place, married Tuesday last
by Rev. George ROBERTS (Thursday 30 May 1833)
BELL, Sarah, consort of John Esq, Sheriff of Somerset County, died Friday
evening, 12th inst, at the residence of her son-in-law Samuel ELDER in Jenner
Twp, in her 38th year. The deceased left home in good health on Tuesday on a
visit to her daughter; on Wednesday she had an attack of bilious cholic,
which terminated her existence on Friday. ( Tuesday, 23 Aug 1836)
BENNER, Philip (General), died 27th ult at Rock Iron Works, Centre County. He
was a native of Chester County; a soldier in the Revolution; and pioneer in
the iron industry in Central Pa. (Thursday, 09 Aug 1832)
BENSON, Isaac, son of Fleetwood BENSON Esq of Summrhill Twp, died Monday
last, aged about 24 years (Thursday, 03 Sep 1835)
BIRCHFIELD, -------, child of Mr. BIRCHFIELD, a conductor on the railroad.
The child was standing near the fire where his mother was washing on Thursday
evening last when it's clothing accidently took fire, and before the flames
could be extinguished it was so severely burnt that it died the next morning

in Kittanning Boro, after a protracted illness. In his 40th year (Tuesday, 28

BRACKENRIDGE, William Esq, youngest son of the late Judge BRACKENRIDGE, died
Thursday, the 25th of last month, at Pittsburgh. He committed suicide by
cutting his throat with a razor (Thursday, 02 May 1833)
BRADY, Edward, of the Summit, died Saturday last, aged about 60 years. Death
caused by injuries received in a fight a few days before. One of the persons
implicated has been arrested and is now in jail to await his trial (Tuesday,

CROSSMAN, Samuel, schoolmaster, of near Browns Mills in Summerhill Twp,
Cambria County, and his daughter, aged about 15, died an awful and sudden
death Sunday evening last. Both were standing in the door of their small
frame house, when a large tree blown down by a storm fell on the house and
broke through it, killing them instantly. Their bodies could not be removed
until the tree was cut and taken off them. Mrs. Crossman, a younger daughter,
and an unidentified boarder were also much injured, but not mortally
