Subject: [PACAMBRI] 1889 Flood Survivors List - Where?

HI Pacambrians,

In a recent message to the list. I indicated that the Pittsburgh Press -
issue of Sunday June 9, 1889 had included a "Census of the Saved" . This
item covered several pages of newprint. I suggested that the information
might be available from the Allegheny County Library System.

Fellow subscriber Richard Hill has kindly shared the following which
should be of help to those with access.

From Richard: "According to the records of the Pennsylvania Newspaper
Project: Carnegie Library, Duquesne University Library, Edinboro University
Library, State
Library of Pennsylvania, and The Pennsylvania State University (Pattee
Library) have microfilm reels of the Pittsburgh Press.
The State Library lends microfilm, I'm not sure about the others. The
Press
went out of business in 1992."
