Hello everyone,
First and foremost, thank you Don for leading me to the right path.
I'm a newbie at this. I hope I am doing this right. I am looking for my Great Grandfather. All I know is his last child was born in Galitzen, PA on June 15, 1909.
I was told her father died shortly after that, possibly in 1911. His name is even a puzzle. I have been told Joseph Wazlavek and Karl
Wazlavek.
I was also told he died in a coal mine accident, then I heard he was kicked in the head by a horse and died....so if anyone has come across his name in a cemetery along the way, I would appreciate any information you could pass along.
He was married to Marie Wazlavek. After his death, she worked at a Catholic Church, became very ill, and that is how she came to Ohio with her two children. The nuns contacted her daughter who had moved here with her husband. Her name was Frances Wazlavek Zablo m. to George.
Thanks for your interest and any information you could pass on to me.
Thanks everyone and happy hunting!
