Hi PACAMBRIANS

The following question recently appeared on the Cambria Query Board.

"Does anyone know where I could get the list of the surviors of the Great
Flood,1889-Johnstown, Cambria Co......?"

The Pittsburg Press of Sunday June 9, 1889 included a very long list
"Census of the Saved".

A fellow subscribe (Donna) has made copies of these pages and sent them
to me to for me to transcribe and I have made slow work of the job. They are
extremely difficult to read. I worked on it for some time and was well
along, then I lost the file. At that point my enthusiam paled and my work has
gotten even slower. I hope to (one day) have this available from the
Cambria Page but I am currenlty a long way from that point.

Although the list is in, more or less, alpabetical order - it reflects
the chaos of the time and include many obvious duplications. I feel certain
that a great many of the survivors were missed entirely.

In the mean time. It may (don't know) be obtained via the Allegheny Co.
Library system or (perhaps) form the Pittsburgh Press.
