Thanks, Jim. I have my dad's original social security card. I could not
find him in the SSDI even with that.

My dad never had a birth certificate, and he's not listed in SSDI,
therefore, did he exist? Do I? :-() It's just a "puzzlement." I think
the most likely explanation is that my dad died in 2/66 and, therefore,
never got entered.
