Hello to all of you -

Sharon Edwards reference to her ancestors tragedy and her musings re who
may have helped whom during that time, convinced me to add my thoughts.
As I read through your collective thoughts on "who were they" I wondered
if any of my ancestors knew any of yours. Did they live down the street
from each other, work together, worship together, raise children
together, cry together, attend school together... Now here we are
looking into their lives together - all through the tireless efforts of
this list, Rootsweb and this thing call "the net". Some of my own
musings are born out of memories from Cambria Co. and the small town
address we claimed until I was 14 (I think). Often I share info you all
have shared here with my parents who grew up and lived their adult lives
in Cambria Co. "Dad, didn't we used to know somebody by the last name
of ...." "Yes", he says. "They had a house down by that big empty
field across from the feed mill. I went to school with one of the girls
and your mom dated the oldest boy." And then the inevitable, "We're
related to them somehow, I think through your Aunt...."

And the bond is strengthened and the knowledge grows. God Bless You -
ALL.
