I too have quite a lot of that feeling, however, what is really being
satisfied by my working on my genealogy is not 'who were they'. At an
emotionally low point after a tragic event in my life, I actually looked in
the mirror and said "Who are you?" Yes, I see a name or picture and am
interested in them, but it is fullfilling within myself to do this work. I
have a better sense of who I am.
