I am descended from Elisabeth Stiffler's brother Thomas 1851-1933, who
apparently had an out-of-wedlock experience with neighbor Maria Steffey
which resulted in the birth of my great-grandfather Samuel Stiffler in 1877.
Thomas later married Mary Stambaugh.

I have done much research on the Indiana Co Stifflers the past year, and
would be glad to share. Also have info on the early generations in Bedford
Co and before, back to immigration abt 1742 from Germany.

A question for you - I have an Alexander Long 1798-1860 h/o Margaret
Douglass 1806-1865, they also lived in the Cherry Tree area. I only have one
son for them, Barnabas Long, 1837-1842. Does your Alexander Long 1851-1889
connect? The Douglass' are one of my wife's families.

And one other thing, I also live in Manassas, maybe you can show me that
"wonderful picture."
