I am not researching the SMAY surname, but I do have three in my
database.

Robert Lewis Smay was born 19 September 1922 and died 13 June 1999. He
was married to my cousin, Alice Marie Crusan, 1 May 1946. Bob and Alice
had one daughter, Brenda Carol who married Walter Roman Laskoski.

Lois Jane Smay b. 9 August 1935 was married to Alice's brother, Robert
Gene Crusan, September 1951. Lois and Bob had five children before they
were divorced.
