Hello List Members -

Does anyone know anything about the Freemasons and genealogical
information? My grandfather (Allison) was a Mason in the "Altoona
Consistory". I'm not sure what that means. Have visited the Freemason
website and located several addresses for chapters in Altoona, but was
unsure if I should contact all of them, or if there might be a central
location. I am in great hopes they might operate like the LDS and
others and willingly share their info. Any comments appreciated - and
thank you.
