Thanks so much for all the replies that I received on this singing society.

If anyone has any history or other information on this Society, such as:
was it a German club?
When was it established?
Did they really have a singing choir of sorts?
Did they travel and sing?
Was it more of a social club?

Any one out there with stories to share?
Would love to hear them.
