Hi listers!
I am new to this list, and wanted to check with all of you and see if
anyone is working on the Heiple line in Cambria Co(Johnstown), and
possibly also Westmoreland Co ? My husbands mother was Louella Jane
Heiple, daughter of John Nevin(or Neven) Heiple, and Josephine Rebecca
Wagner/Wagoner(spelled both ways on two different id's we have for her).
Louella(called Jane by her friends and family) was born Oct 27, 1920,
and in 1942 married Eldon Ross Brown in Washington, DC. John Nevin was,
we have been told, the constable for Johnstown for many years. I am
estimating his year of birth to be 188?-1890. Josephine was born January
1890,or 94 -seen it both ways, she was known to lie about her age!!
This has been very hard researching this family because all family
members are deceased, and there was very little family info passed along
to the three children of Louella and Eldon. Any help would be so much
appreciated. Is there any type od document I could request in Johnstown
that would possibly list the constables of the past? I cannot find where
John Nevins family came from, or who his parents are.
