This is my first attempt to use this group as a research tool. My
ancestors came from Germany in 1851 and settled in Summerhill and later
in Johnstown. According to his Obituary, John Deatrice Wentroth, or
similar spelling, owned the Summerhill House for quite some time
(1870s-1880s). Would there be any land records of this Hotel. I have
heard that it was possibly a "Ladies House"!! I am quite interested.
