Kathy & All, I agress but this is a problem not only w/ Ancestry.com but
FTM as well. I use both sites but you really can't use them as sources. I
too have old info that was put on several of the FTM CD's. the info is
outdated & I've proven myself wrong on several occasions- it happens! The
point I'm trying to make is we all have to be careful using the net for
genealogical research. It's too easy to put info out there. The IGI comes
to mind too, boy have I found a ton of bogus info there! So it if we stick
to primary sources we're ok. There ARE a lot of places to find real info on
the net. Census records, land deeds, cemetary listings, etc. GEDCOMS are
fun to look at but w/ no source it's useless. OK, I'll get off the
soapbox......Cindy
