There were two distinct McGough families in Cambria County. Arthur and
James who do not seem to be related.
The Cambria Co. Biog. of James McGough is probably in error about the
birthplace of James. An identical story is told in an early obit. of one
of the early IL descendants except it is Miles who comes from Ireland.
My records have Miles in MD in 1752.
