I have been searching for many years without success to find the parents of
the following individual: Martha McClure who was born on or about May 5 1814
in Pennsylvania. On her death certificate, her son gave information that
she was born in Warren, Pennsylvania. Looking here resulted in no information.
She married William R. Iiams who was born in Washington Co., Pennsylvania
in 1807. The Iiams family migrated to Warren Co., Ohio and then to Shelby
County, Ohio. All of the children of Martha McClure and William Iiams were born
in Shelby Co., Ohio. In both the 1870 & 1880 census, Martha's place of
birth is listed as Pennsylvania and that her parents were born in Ireland. It is
believed that the marriage took place in Warren Co., Ohio. But again, no
records were found to substantiate this.
Martha McClure Iiams died in Lima, Allen Co., Ohio on 22 Jun 1896. Her
parents were not listed on the death certificate.
