There was a Peter Wise in Northern Lancaster County, but he was German Reformed. He lived in Adamstown.
There was also a later Peter Wise in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County. He was Church of the Brethren. He did not serve in the Revolutionary war, but his father Henry Wise or Weis did serve.
As far as i know, these were the only Peter Wise's in the area - I did a lot of research on the name when i was trying to track down an ancestor named Peter Wise who had served in the Revolutionary War - turns out it was Henry (who also left behind some buttons from his uniform - the buttons are legendary in my family).
Regarding www.iarchives.com, excellent resource. I did some digging around in it yesterday and found a number of items that were worth saving.
