"Friends in Ireland"
1712,4,12: James Downey m. Hannah Ellott, dau. of Wm.,
Bucks Co., at Falls Meeting House.
1713,3,26: Hannah [Ellot], widow, m. Samuel Combs at
Falls MH
1735,8,28: Sarah Downey m. Thomas Loramar at Falls MH
1737,8,25: Mary Downey m. Samuel Mead at Falls MH
1758,3,1: James Jr disowned, disunity

If this is the line in PA that you are trying to
connect to, the fact that James, Jr. was disowned will
make it tougher to prove. As he would be 50 years old
at the time of your Thomas' birth, he is probably not
Thomas father. If he is an ancestor, there is likely
to be another generation in between, but if James III
was born outside the Quaker community, his birth may
not be recorded anywhere.
