Something very exciting these days is the DNA research that is going on to
find which groups are actually related (share a common ancestor somewhere
along the line). There is a link from the Boone Society home page to the
whole project, with results posted and continuing to be updated. Any male
(Y chromosome required, I'm afraid) with the surname Boone, or any of the
variant spellings, can choose to participate.
