The record identifying your Tacy as Stacy might be the result of a
modern-day entry error, because I think Tacy was a common nickname in
earlier times. One of my ancestors was named Sabina, which I sometimes
see erroneously written as Sabrina (probably because the name Sabrina
is more familiar than Sabina today). The same thing might have happened
with Tacy.

By the way, Tacy was also apparently a nickname for Teresa or Theresa.
