I am seeking information on the Hirst family. Eleanor was born 1812 in
Philadelphia, marr. 1832 in Philadelphia to Joseph M. Van Arsdale. Her
parents were Stephan and Louise Hirst, of which I know little. Prior to
her marriage, Eleanor lived in Germantown. This information was garnered
from the handwritten family history of the GGranddaughter of Joseph. The
story goes that after marriage, Eleanor and Joseph lived in Philadelphia
until 1840, where they had children, Catherine, b. 1833, Lucretia, b. 1835,
George, b. 1837, and Elias, b. 1839. From there the family moved to
Brooklyn, NY.

If someone recognizes any to this, I sure would appreciate any further
information that you would be willing to share.
