Quakers
The reference to Kennett Quakers means a member of the Society of
Friends
who belonged to the Kennett Monthly Meeting, in Kennett Township,
Chester
County, Pennsylvania. It is not a unique sect. My
ancestors were also
among that group. I also grew up in that area.
The Society of Friends, otherwise known as Quakers, was begun in England
in
the mid-17th century. Some useful sources for more information
include the
following web sites. There are also many others.

What's a Kennet Quaker? Is that a sect of Quakers of
what?
Curious, because I haven't known much about
them! Still
learning! Where do the Quakers come
from? England originally?
