Hannah Lenape Ames is a great clue in itself.
Lenape is the indian (correct) version of what we call the 'Delaware
Indians'. Hannah may have been a Delaware or partial. Also possible that
the name was taken as a compliment to an Indian Chief or a battle or
something.
If you dig around with the Lenape tip, you may at least have a good story to
tell later on!

Subject: [PA-QUAKERS] Information
Any information on my great-great grandmother Roxania Ames Rice? Born in NY
or PA in 1814 and lived in Port Allegany, PA. Daughter of Joseph and Hannah
Lenape Ames. She was said to be Quaker.
Thank you.
