I had thought that Mary Moon, daughter of James Moon and Mary Burgess,
married Joseph Curtis. Who is Ann Watson if this is the same Joseph Curtis?
I believe that an earlier John Curtis, son of Thomas Curtis (first of the
line here) married Mrs. Anna Moone, widow of Abraham Moone, I believe. I
wonder if this was the first connection of the Curtis to the Moon family.
I am trying to find out if this Joseph Curtis who married Mary Moon was the
same Joseph Curtis who witnessed the sale of land by the Delaware Indians to
William Penn in Chester County, PA in 1683. I have contacted Haverford
College in Haverford, PA to find out. It may take until June for the
volunteer researcher to look this up so if anyone knows the answer in the
meantime I would appreciate it.
