The Irish Center is at
Commodore Barry Club
6815 Emlen Street
Phila., Pa. 19119
It consists of a few Associations for different counties in Ireland.
Mine being County Mayo. http://www.mayoassoc.com/ They also have
Donegal & Galway. If you don't descend from any of these counties then
you can belong to one of them if the county you descend from isn't
represented by a club. There is also the Commodore Barry Club. They
have all sorts of events there. You can learn Irish, how to make St.
Brigid's Crosses, dance, etc.
I am in the Mayo Assoc. and we meet every month for our regular meeting.
After the meeting there may be entertainment there and you can have
dinner for only $5. Many of the members themselves are from Ireland.
It's a lot of fun.
Nancy
