Do you have any info on Issac Clanton and William Calnton? There is a story in my family about William M. Hall confessing on his deathbed that he really was a Clanton of the Clanton Gang/Family. Story has it that he was an outlaw and he changed his name to William M. Hall. William is my 4xG.Grandfather. He met his wife in Kansas, I believe. He and an aquaintance rode into town firing their six-shooters. Family members say that one day he received a letter. He went outside, read the letter and then burned it. Letter possibly from his sister. I would really like to know more about him. Unable to find him before the 1920 Census in Hominy, Oklahoma. I do have his record of funeral. The census states him being born in TX, mother and father unknown. Please, let me know something. Thanx!!! Sarah
