Carolyn and Dennis, the Taylor - Sutton feud was located primarily in
Goliad and Dewitt Counties in Texas. It did spill over into other counties
on occasion. It started wrapping up after John Wesley Hardin, a cousin of
the Taylors, killed Jack Helm, the captain of the reconstruction state
police and a Sutton supporter.
