Services Held Tuesday for Myrtle Sample

Funeral services for Myrtle Pearl “Midge” Sample were held Tuesday, May 7, from Munselle’s Chapel with Rev. James A. Reed officiating. She died Sunday, May 5, in a Walla Walla hospital after an extended illness.
C.W. Wrinkle sang “God Be With You” and “In The Garden.” Mrs. John H. Maxwell was organist.
Pallbearers were F.A. Fullerton, Michael Kicker, Martin Wilkening, James Coe, Henry Wenner, and Lloyd Pribe.
Concluding services and interment were in the Milton IOOF Cemetery.
Born May 21, 1894 in Weston, Ore., Myrtle McEachern Sample was a member of a pioneer family of the area. She was a member of the Episcopal Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Johnson of Seaside, Ore., and Mrs. Agnes Hamley of Milton-Freewater; a brother, William M. McEachern of Seaside, and a niece, Mrs. Audrey Clement of Portland.
Her husband, Leonard Sample, was for many years chief electrician for the city of Milton-Freewater before his passing in 1952.
