Have you tried putting Morgan's Point Texas in Google.com. Click on City of
Morgan's Point, there is
a Boys & Girls Harbor that you might inquire if they know of the orphanage
you are searching for.

All of my life my parents, aunts and uncles told me that my maternal
grandfather and his two sisters lived at an orphanage at Morgan's Point just
north east of La Porte, Texas, USA. from 1866 until 1900. The girls left earlier
than 1900 because one of their paternal uncles came from New York and took
them there to meet their fathers family.
All of the older generation (but one) are now dead (she is 99) , and
Morgan's Point is almost totally covered with shipping containers, few homes and
fewer historical markers.
Does anyone out there have any solid evidence of where the home was, and
what ever happened to the records? Was it swept away by the 1900 storm as was
the St. Mary's
home in Galveston? Right now I would just like to get conformation of the
home being at Morgan's Point.
