Maybe not *so* hard to find, Joyce. This seemed far-reaching, but
should be worth the effort. At least it looked that way as I briefly
checked the steps.

A google.com search for [Sunnybank + orphan] gets lots of hits. Many
are references to various children's books that are stories about
orphans and Sunnybank. However, there are also many hits for PDF files
of documents relating to institutions (at least some of which appear to
have been related to orphanages or boys and girls "schools", some with
AU, USA,and (I think) UK locations. Maybe what you need is among those
PDF files.

You might also find possible leads by exploring results from simple
individual search for Arnside, Cumbria, and then each of those +orphan.
At the very least, such a search might result in tourism sites that
might provide places where you can write for further info about the
orphanage..a site today might have previously been the orphanage and
still hold some artifacts or information; or a nearby church or
organization may hold the actual records.

For example:
A feature about The Stout Park Bobbin Mill on such a tourism site called
The Cumbria Directory mentions the work of 10 orphan children, 12 hours
a day for six days a week. If they have this much information, I would
expect that the people promoting the area would also know something
about the orphanage, even if it isn't featured anywhere online.

The search for [Cumbria + orphan] turned up 492 more hits. One was
Stonecross Manor, currently a hotel which history states it "was
originally an orphanage for young girls who were to go into service,"
and mentions "The bar celebrates the area's history, its walls covered
in photographs of the region and its people, including a photograph of
the matron and orphan girls who lived on this site many years ago."
There were also hits for assorted other agency sites, pdf files,
genealogy files, etc. that may prove very worthwhile.
