I am searching for anyone with pictures or information to share (I have photos)
family storys . . . maybe even some relatives I don't know I have!

Elizabeth Gertrude (1877 Crescent City CA -1918 Coos Co Oregon) Who
married George Bethel

Elizabeth is my Great Grandmother, I only have one picture of her and
would TRULY grovel on bended knee to find another!. . . She married
George in 1898 . . . they were suppose to have a cheese factory on
Bethel Creek Road between Bandon and Langlois. . . . George bought
the ranch from THOMAS W. BETHEL of Sacramento. . . Was he a relative?
Do any of you have any knowledge of Bethels in Coos or Curry Co.?

Also apparently George went to Salem to the State Hospital in 1907
staying there until his death in 1916. I have papers from the Oregon
State Archives on the way to explain what that was all about. . . in
the mean time Elizabeth's brother in law RALPH POMEROY moved in to
help out at the ranch. . . I WOULD REALLY LIKE A PHOTO of RALPH!!!

Elizabeth and George had three children. . .

ANN BETHEL (my grandmother, married 1. Paul Benton Hoyt, married 2.
John Rider, her sisters first husband)

HELEN BETHEL married first Ebon Pomeroy (her aunts, husbands brother)
married 2. John Rider, married 3 Charles Rider (her second husbands
brother)

KARL or CARL APPLETON BETHEL - It is said he never married . . . did
he live with anyone? He suposedly died from being hit by a car
walking home (drunk) one night from the pool hall. . . .bummer . . .
anyway it is said that the Appleton middle name was from relatives of
his mothers side. . . . any cluesz? I have no pictures of Karl/Carl
as an adult . . . . any of you ?
