Ok so FREDRICK ADOLPH FREUND AND ANNA TERRESSA DOWNS FREUND had eight children
Elizabeth, Olive, Grace, Fredrick, Anna, Joseph, Vincent and William.
I will go about telling you about them separately.

But what ever happened to these Three of the sons of Fredrick Freunds
and Anna Terressa (Downs) Freund - Who I believe were living at Port
Orford (Curry County) at one time.

Lost son #1

FREDRIC ADOLPH FREUND JR. was born in Cresent City (Del Norte County)
27 Nov 1883 and died at the age of 14 after a long illness abt 19 Nov
1898 in Port Orford. . .

I found a copy of an Original Orford Tribune, Port Orford Oregon
Tuesday, November 22 1898

CARD OF THANKS
New Lake Nov 19 1898
We wish to render our most heartfelt thanks to our kind neighbors and
friends for the sympathy and kindness extended to us during the
sickness and burial of our son Freddie. We thank them one and all and
shall ever remember them as long as Memory last. Mr. and Mrs. F.A.
Friend. Mr. and Mrs Chas Forty.

I found a note in an old relatives genealogy stuff that said he is
burried at the Churchyard at Cape Blanco . . but a friend/researcher
that lives in Bandon (Paul Shelton) says he is not on the Tombstone
list . . . Does anyone know where the Church records would have been
taken to for the Catholic Church that is no longer there?

Lost son #2

WILLIAM FREUND was born after 1885 probably in Crescent City CA and
died before 1894 when his grandfather died and 1/2 of his estate was
divided up between the children of Fredrick A. Freund (Fred is now
buried at Denmark Cemetery) the only evidence of William is on the
Bio Cards at Gold Beach that say that Fredrick Freund and Anna Downs
Freund had a son William that had died before 1912

He was probably born in Crescent City or Smith River or Possibly Port
Orford . . . and died as a child . . . they arerently did not put a
headstone on his brothers grave so I double that we are going to find
a tombstone. . . The St. Joseph Church that they attended in Cresent
City had a fire in 1970 and their records burned. . . anyone have any
ideas?

Does anyone know if the nice people at the Historical Society at Gold
Beach would get in a tiff if you sent them the Correct info of the
data they have that is NOT correct? Dates etc that have been proven
wrong? . (Fred Freund died in 1900 NOT 1902 - I have his death
Certificate and Military Pension Records etc.)

Lost son # 3

JOSEPH LOE FREUND was born 1889 in Cresent City California I have
copies of letters mailed to Joseph Loe Freund that were returned "Not
at this address" with postmarks (two letters) that were sent from
Bandon and Langlois in 1910 that were sent to an address in
Sacramento, forwarded to Reno Nevada then forwarded to Salt lake City
then returned to Bandon - Both of the Letters congratulated him on
his marriage (both "to the little woman or little wife) after the
letters were returned to sender, I guess they were hand delivered to
his mother who kept them and apperently never got them to Joseph
(Anna T. Downs Freund never through away a letter or a newspaper
clipping . . . they went to her daughter Anna T. Emmet passed to
Grace Pomeroy then to Graces Daughters . . . .all four of them . .
.now I have them. . .what a treasure!. . . ) I also have a copy of a
letter addressed TO Joseph Loe Freund in Langlois that went to his
mother . . . . so he was alive SOMEWHERE in 1910.

What ever happened to Joseph Freund and his wife? I find him in no
Census for Oregon, California, Nevada or Utah and cannot find him on
the California or Oregon Death Indexes.

Any clues or help?
