b. April 27, 1827 or 1835 in Dallas County, MO or Baton Rouge, LA
d. 1901, 1902 or 1903 in Curry County, but unable to locate exact
date or place of
burial, although his 2nd wife, Elmira Gillespie is buried at
Foster Creek.
***father from Virginia or Pennsylvania, mother from
Missouri

William SUTHERLAND (SOUTHERLAND)
b. 1829(?) in Maine or Nova Scotia
d. 25 April 1896, Curry County
m. Rosa McMANN, 30 October 1880, divorced in 1889, 3 children:
Estella, Mary Alice, Cora (died @ 6yrs.)

Rosa McMANN
b. 1863, California, half Karuk Indian
d. no info
***father from Scotland, mother full blood Karuk
***married William WILSON after divorce from SUTHERLAND and had
other
children, Ellen and Charlotte ("Lottie), have been unable to
find any other
information.

William McMANN
b. 1837 in Scotland
d. no info
***was married to "Sally", full blood Karuk and had Rosa, Hannah,
Elizabeth and
a boy (name unknown)....later married Ana C. KIMBALL in 1877
and divorced
her in 1885.

Hi everyone!

Since we have had several new members join us in the past week, I
thought it might be a good time for everyone to "advertise" their
Curry
Co. interests.

So please, go ahead and restate your surnames/queries, etc. and
let's
have a good old fashioned roll call! And please, let's have at
least a
few---last time I called, only one person answered. You never
know--one
of these new folks might be that missing link in your family tree
you've
been searching for for years!

Besides...it's just a little TOO slow around here, don't you
think?
