I am trying to find the meaning to " (Qet) " found next to some names on the early Census records .

I think it could refer to a person who either is or associates with Quakers ?
Or it refers to that person as having what was called " Quick Rents " which I have no idea what a " Quick Rent " is either ?

I would so appreciate any help in this matter , Thank you,
