Hi Paul,
A 'carbine' was a cross between a pistol and a musket used by cavalrymen -
hence a 'horsemen piece'
Not sure about the other weapons but someone on the list will know who Mr
Calliner was etc.
The brewing items......
Covell - various old spellings - cowl - a large tub with two ears - wooden
or rope - which enabled it to be carried
on a cowl-staff
Trondle - version of 'trundle' - a low truck on wheels
Tunnill - this is used in the sense of a pipe - a funnel, usually for
filling bottles
Shelues - is this just 'shelves' perhaps
