The Story
Police said Friday that Thomas Solomon, 15, accused of a random shooting
rampage Thursday, apparently smuggled a .22 caliber rifle into his Conyers,
Ga. high school in his *Galligaskins*. Six students were wounded in the
episode, none seriously. "He was wearing blue jeans typically worn by
teenagers," said county school superintendent Don Peccia. "Big, baggy pants."
Solomon also had a .357 magnum revolver. He fired 14 shots in all. He is
charged with aggravated assault. The shooting is at least the 7th in U.S.
schools in the last two years.
