Going through the index to the feet of fines records at The National
Archives I found 8 of interest in the period 1675-1699.

I photographed the heading of the first page of the relevant law term, a
photograph of the top of the page (that I think repeats the previous
information) which contained the entry and a separate photograph of the
actual entry. I've cropped all the photographs to show just the pertinent
detail.

>From the heading can be obtained the law term and year, and from the one
line entry, brief details of the fine entry itself.

The problem is that the handwriting is heavily stylized and abbreviated and
although I can recognise the parish and a few of the surnames I am at a loss
to understand the rest.

For each of the 8 entries, the transcription will probably result in just
one or two lines of text.

If anyone can help in this transcription I could send them the MS Word
document that contains them. It is about 1mb in size but only because of the
images it contains.
