Hard to make out what's in the erasures and I don't recognize some
words, but it looks like "This is the answere of S[i]r John Somerby
prest to a bill put into the ___ the xviij day of Novemb[e]r the yere
of the reigne of kynge harry the sexte xxxiijti ___ ___ hym? by Watier
[Walter] Brencheley and others" with the rest in Latin. (The Latin
mentions Walt[er]o Brenchesle.)
According to the "Handbook of Dates" 33 Henry VI was 1 Sep 1454 to 31
Aug 1455.
So a response to a charge or suit but mentioning the will of John
Brencheley senior as well as a number of places and looking well worth
sorting out.
cheers,
