hi debbie-

l have misplaced my pass word for the list can you please put this in the
family section....

Maybe list it as the Dye Family of Washington County ....or how every you
think...

JONATHAN TITUS DYE was born May 29th, 1814 in Washington Co.,Ohio and died
October 19th, 1891 in Wash. Cty. He and his family are buried in Mound
Cemetery. Jonathan was the son of Samuel "Bub" Dye and Susannah Hoff.

Jonathan Titus married Catherine Wells Weakley February 2nd 1835. She was
the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Wells Weakley. Catherine was born in
1812 in Virginia (later West Vriginia - Sistersville W.Va.)

*Children of Jonathan and Catherine were:

l. Eliza Dye was born about 1832 (her parents were married in february, if
her birthday was the last of 1832 then the dates could be correct.)

2. Edy was born 1834 and died 1839 (she would not be on the 1850-1860
census)

3. Abigail Pixley was born 1836 in Wash Cty., She married Alexander Lamb
then she married William Coen upon Alexander's death.)

4. Susan A. was born in 1838 in Washington Cty. She married E.P. Davis
Sept. 22,1856 in Washington Co...she died in Salt Lake City Utah.

5. Elijah Dye was born June 3rd, 1842 in Washington Co., Ohio and died Nov.
7th, 1861 in Quincy, Illinois.

*Service Record taken from History of Wash Cty.... Elijah Dye age
19, Vol. July 22nd, 1861 ....39th Reginment ,Co B..Pvt seved 4 months,
detailed as butcher, Died of measles November 7th, 1861....He is buried in
Mound Cemetery.

6. Marietta was born 1844 in Wash Cty and died 1896 in Pennsboro, W.Va.
She married Willis Anson Jones April `6th, 1868 in Wash Cty Ohio.

7. Harietta V. (listed asVirginia in City Directory) born 1845 in Wash. Cty
and died in Marietta. She married Festus M. Martin February 4th, 1869..in
Wash Cty.

8 Jacob "Big Jake" Hancock was born March 14th,1838 in Washington Cty and
died Aug 2nd, 1908..He and family buried in Oak Grove Cemetery...He married
Caroline Leonhardt November 23rd, 1870 in Wash Cty Ohio. She was born
4-6-1851 in Pittsburg Pa. and died 1932 in Washington Cty Ohio.

9. William P. (prob. Pixley) he was born 1850 in Wash Cty. Ohio (in the
1850 census he is listed as l/12...he died June 25th, 1876 at the Battle of
the Little Big Horn.
* Service record for William as is listed in a book called "Men with
Custer"
He was a Private, age 19.....7th Calvary Company L . he was with
Custer's Co
Killed 6-25-1876.... He enlisted Sept. 23rd,1875 at age 25 at
Cincinnati Ohio by Lt. Patrick Cusack.. Previous occupation butcher. He had
brown eyes, black hair fair complexion and was 5'9 1/2 inches tall. He is
buried in a mass grave with a big rock over the grave with the names of the
service men who are buried there.

l was able to give information as to william's partenage, including
parents, g-parents-g-grandparents....the currator assured me he would put it
into the data base in case any one would be looking for information.
