Hi all,
For those who reside near or in Licking County, the Licking County Chapter of OGS
will meet on Monday, December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at Zerger Hall, 745 East Main Street,
Newark, OH. This meeting is the Annual Christmas Party - Please bring an appetizer and
desserts to share. Table service and beverages will be provided. The meeting is open to
anyone who wishes to attend - you do not need to be a member of the Licking County Chapter.
The program will be: "Identifying Your Hidden Native American Genealogy."

Presented by Jeanne Eppley - "Snowflower". Jeanne was born in Columbus, raised in Johnstown,
Licking County, Ohio. Jeanne is the author of the book "My Family Tells This Story" published by
Heritage Books, Inc. She was raised knowing that she had "Indian" ancestors. Jeanne has done,
and continues to do, extensive research into names, places and activities of Native American people
in hiding. She will discuss why we have hidden Native Ancestry, physical characteristics of Natives,
common diseases, gravestone markings and what they can mean, what to look for in family stories
which will indicate ancestry and more. A question and answer session will follow.
