Hello,
I don't remember points at the drug store, but I do remember green
stamps and weren't there gold bond stamps somewhere in there too? Also,
they still have Betty Crocker points. All the relatives used to save them
for my one aunt whose standard wedding present was a set of free
silverware. It took a long time and a group effort to accomplish this.
Now nothing in the catalog is actually free....not even for hundreds of
points. I thought it was free anyway for a certain number of points.
Maybe I misunderstood the whole thing.
I remember getting some things with green stamps myself....a
highchair for my son, for instance. OK, he is 30 now. Oh, well.
Do you remember when they used to have many contests for creating a
winning jingle for some product? My dad's big win in his lifetime was a
box of Dentyne gum for sending in such a jingle. I'm sure this meant he
did NOT win first prize. Mary in Cleveland
