Hello list, in reply to Bunny, no I have not sent in my surnames list. My ggreatgrandfather's name was Thomas Fielder WELDON, born Oct. 20, 1825 in Henderson County, KY and died Nov. 1884/85 in Palo Pinto County, TX. It is said he was Postmaster at Wheeler, Washington County, AR in 1873. I was just hoping to find more info on him as Postmaster and in the community, if possible. His third wife's name, who is my ggreatgrandmother, was Mary Elizabeth CRAIG. She was born March 16, 1841 (?) in AR. It is said that she was Cherokee. Her mother's name was America SPEARS, born in 1820, not sure where. (America's father's name was John SPEARS born in 1785 in TN, I believe, nothing is known about her mother. I have a photocopy of a picture of America, it looks to be very old and faded and she looks to be full blood Indian) Mary's father's name was James G. CRAIG born in 1820, not sure where. His parents names were Thomas CRAIG and Margaret Stonecypher/Stonecifer/Stonecipher!
