On Monday, August 20, 2001, John Lacombe died in his sleep very
unexpectedly. This was a great loss to the genealogy world as John was the
creator of one of the "original" starting point sites for researchers.

John's award-winning "barrel" site is organized in four different
categories: the original genealogy barrel, Civil War resources,
family-oriented sites and commercial genealogy sites.

Genealogy Today has been asked to fund and manage John's web sites, all of
which can now be accessed directly from our site.
