In 1796 (9 June), John MORRIS married Mary MAHAN in Mecklenburg Co. NC. I
am curious if anyone out there has researched the MORRIS family. I am
looking for a tie-in to the MAHAN and LACEY/LACY family.

My ggggrandfather, John Mahan (b1781 TN) married Rachel Lacey in Randolph
Co. IL in 1813. Her grandfather, Edward Lacey Sr. was from the Chester/York
Cos. SC area. I have land records of Mahans and Laceys in Mecklenburg and
(the now defunct) Tryon Cos. of NC which are directly north of and adjacent
to Chester/York Cos. SC.
