First, another sources has Burwell CASHION b. 30 Dec 1816. Can you tell me
where you got Sep 04 1816? I don't know if my source was correct.

I have located him on the census you asked for :
1860 Mecklenburg Co, NC census, Burwell, age=41, #566
1870 Long Creek, Mecklenburg Co, NC census, Burwell, age=54, #55, p. 8

Based on the above census records, from about 1851 to 1853 the family lived in
Alabama. This clue may help you in your search.

I'd be happy to exchange info on the Cashion family.
