Wanting any information about the family of Barringer who had a daughter
Catherine Barringer born after 1744 who married Martin Harkey
She died in 1824. Martin died in 1807
They lived on Dutch Buffalo Creek. They belonged to St John's Evangelical
Lutheran Church they had 7 children 5 boys and two girls.
Their children married people named Shoe, Melcher, Teator, Mensinger and
Eudy . At various times they lived in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Buncombe
but not sure if they moved or the counties changed.
I have not found a Barringer family with this particular Catherine yet my
entire Harkey genealogy rests on this marriage. TIA Tom
