I don't know of research, but my Cherokee doctor believes us mixed bloods
should avoid processed sugars and flours, as well as beef, pork and lamb.
Reason: our systems can't handle it. It's why he believes he sees higher
incidence of diabetes, allergies, weight gain and other problems among us
mixed bloods. Makes sense to me...but I'm having a terrible time getting
blue corn meal and following a more native diet.
