These are general rules. These should be appied at all pow wows. But As
you go to some you wil see that these things are not always followed.
This is what it Should be run like or they should act like. Basically,
all tribes will follow these. But you may see some slight differences.
Pow wow's in the East US are not run like Pow wows out West. You will
find more so called "hokey" ones out here. For lack of a better word.
NOT THAT THEY ARE BAD! But they are more of a public thing. So you can
expect to find "weirdos" at times in the east. But this happens less
out west. Out west they have what I like to call " their own Marshal
laws" If they dont like yah, you will know it. But they never do
anything to yah if you are respectful and such.

Its hard to explain on line about some things- Pow wows are all
different. And if you visit some you will begin to see those
differences. But the things Me and my husband posted will help any Pow
wow "newbies" along. And you should make some friends eventually.
Natives arnt to quick to attach to people of any sort. But if they see
you around at various functions, and think you have good respecta nd
manners you will make lifetime friends :) The hard thing is is that No
one is ever gonna say anything to you, like if you are doing somethin
they dont like. And you may think no one is lookin- but with Natives
EVERYONE is watching :) ( Its a joke but its true )

About Women being the teasers, I'm not quite sure how it all started. I
just know that is what is accepted and how things are done. If people
start talkin to you. its a good sign you will soon have good friends :)
People to learn more from, ect.

I hope everybody is pickin this up. And i hope I am not offending :) If
anything is unclear let me or my husband know :) We will be glad to
