This came to the Driggers List so I am forwarding it also to the Melungeon
List. I have both Driggers and Rodgers in my family, so perhaps some of you
do, too. I know only the names of the two Rodgers women who married the
Driggers men in my family. I know that there were many Rodgers on the Guion
Miller Rolls. If anyone else has these two families and might be able to
share information, please let me know.
Thank you so much.
Kate

My daughter in-law came up with something yesterday that I had never though
of. She has to listen to me talk about the Driggers and Rodgers all of the
time.
Where you saw a Driggers there would be a Rogers/ Rodgers near by in the
census records. She came up with the idea that maybe some of the people used
the first part of Rodriggus to make Rodgers and some used the last part of
the name Driggers. This may be far out but could be possible. These two
families are so intertwined.
