Mrs. Shirley Walker - Died Saturday morning, April 13, 2002. Shirley was born December 29, 1924 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a daughter of Harold and Ruth (Mann) Kingsbury. During WW II, she served with the U.S. Navy. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life, and was employed with the Gibson Guitar Company and Sutherland Paper Company years ago. Shirley enjoyed woodworking, watching birds, and fishing. In the late 1940's, she was a pitcher for the Kalamazoo Vegetable Parchment Company. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant daughter, Jeanne Marie Walker. On December 24, 1952, she was united in marriage to Henry D. Walker, who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, David Paul (Brenda) Walker of Kalamazoo, and Robin (Robert) Volden of Aurora, CO; a grandchild, Cheyanne Walker; a sister, Marjorie Rowe of Kalamazoo; a brother, Richard Kingsbury of Portage; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Wednesday from the Langeland F!
amily Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel 622 S. Burdick St. 343-1508 with her nephew, the Rev. Mr. Paul Kingsbury, officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Mt.
